22/08/08_CraigS_Big match result

After much pre-match hype  (mainly from the client side) Tennent’s seasoned pro’s were put to the sword by Stand’s young guns, winning by five spectacular goals.

A fine performance by Emyln was tempered by a scything tackle on his own man - Craig Wilson, who was on his way off to the oxygen tent before being up-ended from behind no less.

The rematch is next week, this time we’ll take pics or might even have some graphics for you.

21/08/08_AnnaM_The big match

Well, the boys in the office have been in training for tonight’s ‘Big Match’ against the Tennent’s Lager Lovelies Lads.  Craig Stewart’s already sporting a rather nasty injury but is doing the right thing and not pulling out of tonight’s game.  He’s a real trooper that boy.  Craig Stewart’s war wound

A news update on the result will follow tomorrow.  Expect bruised egos,  frayed tempers and broken relationships.

13/08/08_CraigS_Needing energised ?

We’ve just finished a rather fit looking resource pack for NHS Health Scotland, which will be used to promote physical activity around Scotland.

I’m off for a quick jog around the studio……..

13/08/08_CraigS_How about some simple living ?

Another design hot off the presses is a promotional piece for Enkelt who build innovative, eco-friendly housing. The client wanted to show their business plan in a more interesting manner - I think we’ve achieved that.

Have a look at the finished article on our portfolio page.

Maggie’s just sent me a link to this site and I have to say it’s such a simple idea that works really well.

Anyone who knows myself or Maggie will know we’re no Paula Radcliffes. We’re joggers, at best, but we like to train for and run jog the Women’s 10k every year so consider ourselves to have SOMETHING in common with old Paula.

Nike’s approach to sponsoring athletes, versus events, has allowed them to have some ownership over and right to talk about the Beijing Olympics, without being an official sponsor. The little microsite that they’ve pulled together to drum up support for Paula Radcliffe , whilst building their brand at the same time hits the mark. It’s simple, easy to engage with, straight to the point and flattering enough to the participant’s ego to let them see which step of Paula’s journey their message of support is being attributed to.

The call to action, to see Paula compete on 17th August at 12.30am means I’ll be tuning in to see if her 92nd step (that’s the one my message has been assigned to) is any different than the 91 before or the 22,758 after it.

05/08/08_CraigS_Stand new upstarts !!!

Seems we’ve got some new faces within the Stand design fortress, they come in the guise of Katie Eagles new senior account manager, she flies in from Burt Greener and is a most welcome addition.
Next are our two former sailors from Navy Blue, the effervescent Mike Brooke who’s going to be handling accounts and Craig Wilson, designer extraordinaire who has a penchant for tap and modern dance and was also nominated as Young Designer of the Year at this years Design Awards.

Don’t ask who’s who.
